"I’ve been training with Andy Tweedie for more than 4 years. Andy is an incredibly hard working and sensitive personal trainer – managing to be simultaneously inspiring and motivational. Andy knows exactly when to push you to your limits and also when to take the foot off the pedal, i.e.: ‘Len looks rough, let’s ease off a bit.’
I admire Andy’s willingness to change the content of the sessions to avoid boredom - one of the biggest reasons for people slipping into bad habits, not showing up at the gym etc. No danger of that with Andy, who can make the week fly by utilising a broad variety of training techniques. His best trait is that he’s a good bloke - reliable, fun, hard working and trustworthy. The main thing you need to know however is that he is result oriented, keen to assist and ready to rock whenever you are. Check him out.

"In September of 2006 I was relocated to the UK for about 6 months and wanted to keep up with some training that I was doing in the US. I contacted ANDEM Personal Training to setup personal training sessions.
We worked on strength training, toning and cardio. I hate cardio and find it boring and monotonous (almost as bad as watching grass grow). However, ANDEM used an approach of mixing in short bursts of cardio, which made it more interesting and fun. With all the exercise they really had me focus on the form and doing the exercise right to maximize results. I seemed to be using less effort from training alone but getting better results.
Within the first month I was finding new stamina and strength. My blood pressure dropped 20 points. I felt better and had a lot more energy. I continued with the program until returning to the US in March of 2007.
Upon returning home, all my friends and family have noticed a complete difference. I got more phone numbers in the first month back than the previous 5 years!!! I feel more confident as well. I have been able to easily continue with the program with the knowledge and techniques from Andem. I would recommend them to anyone!"

"There are many things in life that come naturally to me; I don’t really think about those things; I just do them automatically.
Fitness and exercise were never high on my agenda of activity. I was a member of a local gym many years ago, but it wasn’t for me. I found the whole environment intimidating, lost my confidence quickly and the whole experience damaged my perception that exercise could ever be enjoyable.
Like a lot of people, my job takes up a high percentage of my time. It’s always been an uphill struggle to manage that perfect work/home life balance. The time eventually arrived when I desperately wanted to gain an interest outside of work. My aim was to reduce my stress levels and give me something else to focus on. Being extremely health conscious with food, I was keen to supplement that by improving my physique. Deep down I knew that fitness and exercise would be the perfect solution, but I just couldn’t see myself doing it. I got talking to a friend of mine about how I felt and what I wanted to achieve. She mentioned that she had a Personal Trainer.
Following a comprehensive one on one consultation, I’ve been seeing Em for five months now and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve learned to understand the benefits of fitness and exercise, how to do it properly and more importantly how to enjoy it. Em’s professionalism, knowledge and experience confirm that she has a natural passion for what she does and a strong willingness and enthusiasm to share it with others. Em has always made me feel at ease, even when I found some of the exercises difficult to grasp at the beginning. She continually motivates me and gives me the support and encouragement that empowers me to carry on.
I am so glad that I followed up on the recommendation to contact Em. I still enjoy my training sessions as much today as I did when I started, and I never thought that I would ever hear myself say that. Training with Em has become an important part of my life and has changed the way I feel about a lot of things, including my attitude towards work and striking that better balance. Em has also become a trusting and loyal friend whom I have the utmost respect for.
Exercise is now one of the many things in life that does come naturally to me; I don’t really think about it, I just do it automatically."

"Having had two children by caesarean and having basically done no exercise since university, I was extremely apprehensive about trying to get fit and to get some tummy muscles back!
Em has been doing one session a week with me for 10 weeks now and it is amazing how much I already feel the difference. She is encouraging, easy to talk to, gauges my level every session and I love it. I never thought I would say that about things like step work and weights. Em varies the routines and equipment every week so no two sessions are the same. I can now do a hundred skips without stopping – I think my first effort was about 8 and I have discovered boxing, which I adore!
My aims are simple. By the end of May next year (my best friend’s wedding) to get back to pre-children weight, be able to run a mile without stopping (something I have never been able to do even when I was quite fit at university), have no flabby bits on my upper arms and tummy and to still be enjoying my exercise. I know that with Em’s guidance, I will achieve all my targets."

"In October 2006 I was persuaded to join a team from work entering the Moonwalk 2007. At the time I was overweight and unfit. Add in to the mix diabetes and high blood pressure and the challenge seemed well nigh impossible.
I then started training once a week with Em. I am highly impressed with her knowledge and enthusiasm and her ability to motivate a 46 year old woman who likes nothing better than watching Coronation Street whilst consuming chocolates! Since training with Em I have both lost weight, toned and increased my fitness. More important from my point of view is that I have fun. I never thought I would look forward to exercising, but I am disappointed if I ever have to miss a session. I have a sitting room the size of a postage stamp, but Em still manages to find the room to give me a cardio and strength training workout.
The proof of the pudding for me was successfully walking 26 miles! I cannot stress too highly what a huge part Em played in helping me to achieve that goal. She is highly professional with a sense of humour, which in my book is the perfect combination."

"When I started training with Andy I was struggling to work out 3 times a week on my own. Workouts were a boring chore and I wasn't convinced that I was making real progress. I've been training with Andy for five months now and in that time I've lost 4 inches from my waist, completed a 10km fun run and have never enjoyed working out so much. I look forward to our sessions all week and work out on my own just to get stronger and fitter for my workouts with Andy. We've never done the same workout twice, we have a great laugh and I get to hit him as hard as I can when we’re boxing, it doesn't get much better than that!"

"Em of Andem has been training me twice a week for three months now and I have lost 17Ibs and gone down a dress size with very little change to my diet (shame on me!).
The individual training sessions are perfect to concentrate on my own personal needs. I never know what to expect from one session to the next, which keeps it varied and interesting.
